korean pop - super junior

I like Korean Pop music.  I like Japanese Pop music.  I don't, generally, like American Pop music.  As for the pop of other countries - I don't pursue it, so I can't really say.  I also like music that is not pop - rock is great, classical, bluegrass, folk, jazz, etc.  Most genres appeal to me.  Rap generally eludes me, but sometimes it's catchy.  Country is a bit hit or miss - I tend to prefer the older stuff to what is coming out these days.

Since I've been listening to Korean pop/rock hits for a little while now, I now know enough to hum along accidentally when I'm shopping in Asian grocery stores.  I think I'll be prepped for that aspect of Korea, then, but I'll be at a loss when they start playing their favorite hits from the US.  Oh well.

Here is the video for one of the songs that is stuck in my head at the moment.  The music video and the lyrics of the song sort of match, but not too much.  The translation is available all over the web if you are curious, though.  Super Junior is a huge band - I think part of the reason that I like them is that they are so ridiculously big, ha.  I wonder if they assign "roles" to their band members, as was common practice in the days of BSB and NSYNC in the US?  Do they have "the shy one,"  "the crazy one," etc.?  Probably to some extent.

Anyway, enjoy!  Or not, ha.  But let me know what you think.
