favorites

I have about a dozen favorite students.  Today I want to talk about my Singer.  He is pretty darn adorable, haha.  But then again, I think ... hm, yes, all of my favorite students are adorable.  Anyhoo, he sings in the hallway pretty much all the time -- and that's okay, actually, because he does have a really nice voice.  When we pass in the halls he either tells me that he loves me, says hello, or does that "heart over the head" thing that many Asians seem to have down to an art -- and often, he does all three.  He also comes in to my office to say these things -- not hard to do, ha, since I'm located rather close to his classroom.  (Kids over here generally stay in one room all day long -- teachers move, kids stay.  This system has its good and bad points.  Generally it means that the kids get to know each other really, really well because they spend so much time together.)
